Release Notes - March 25, 2010

• El Patron's Lost Weapons have been found!
• Hundreds of new weapon items can now be discovered in-game.
• Enemies and ships now drop loot containers, which contain a variety of treasure.
• Sailing Items can be found in loot containers, which can help improve your sailing skills.
• New skills can be found on some of these new weapons. These skills can only be used when the weapons are being used. There are also two new types of skills:
• Break Attacks - Powerful special attacks that can be used when you are in a tough battle. These skills only recharge when you take damage. Completing a Combo Attack also helps recharge a Break Attack.
• Defense Skills - These skills protect the player by automatically blocking incoming attacks. Defense skills recharge normally and cannot be triggered manually by the player.
• Pirates now have 4 Weapon Slots, so you can choose what weapons you have equipped.
• Pirates now have 1 Sailing Item Slot, which gives the pirate bonuses while sailing or using cannons.
• Some new items are also available in stores for purchase.
• Pirates can now change their clothes, tattoos and jewelry without having to visit stores.

Known Issues - March 25, 2010

• Mac users are unable to log into the Test Servers. We're working to resolve this soon.
• Crash may occur when collecting an item and placing it in a slot that already has an item. Work Around: Use the right-mouse button to collect items or make sure a slot is empty when plundering items.
• During the Barbossa pistol tutorial, you may not be able to shoot the monkey. You may press 'Esc' to continue with the tutorial.
• Some Spanish and French Undead may have weird motion trails on their weapons.

• We are currently fixing technical issues on the TEST Server and hope to have El Patron's Lost Weapons back online. However, until all the inventory bugs are fixed, your daily progress on the TEST Server may be lost.

• It may take several seconds for your inventory to load in. Please be patient.
• There are various client crashes that we are currently looking into. Fixes will be forthcoming as we find solutions to them.
• Equipping an item directly from the loot drop onto a slot that is full will cause a crash to the desktop. A fix is coming soon.

Daily progress ?? How about months worth of progress.. Gone.

I understand this is the test server and all and things are expected to go wrong but I have lost months worth of advancement on the test server recently and my quests are bugged to the point that they come and go, and they never come back in the same spot they went away on..

My weapons are all messed up, my level 20 doll is missing (and my doll on test was mastered until it also lost levels), it says I have it but the quest book says I need to go talk to Tia like I am just getting the doll for the first time. Quests once finished are now repeating themselves over and over and I lose notoriety by numbers in the hundreds every time I log in, I've been level 24 five times now..

It's to the point where I am scrapping my original test pirate and making a new one because if I have to do the quests over again it might as well be on a pirate that's not bugged. I have been told the problems lie mostly with peoples original pirates and not any new ones we may make. Time will tell.

Release Notes - April 2, 2010

• The avatar, inventory, and ship data will be reset to the state it was in before we turned on the new inventory system. Any progress made between then and now will be lost. Any avatars created since then will also be lost.
• New loading screens when starting and leaving the game.
• Various weapons have their minimum level requirement lowered slightly.
• Navigation Bonus on sea charms only affects the Full Sail, Come About, and Ramming Speed sailing skills.
• Removed the roll-over sound when looking at items in your inventory.
• Add a sound effect for when you throw an item away from your inventory.
• Most tonics are now unlocked again for Basic Access members
• Pirates will now receive pop-up notices before an Expedition Fleet appears.
• Giant Fly Traps now deal a venom effect when attacking.
• Treasure Fleet ships will always drop at least one Loot Skull Chest when defeated.
• Powder Keg Runners will knock you down now when they explode after being defeated.
• The loot drop rate for boss enemies is now double the normal enemy rate instead of 100%.
• The Critical Strike weapon attribute now functions correctly, giving the player a chance to deal extra damage per attack.
• If a sea charm is being used, it will be displayed when on the ship wheel or cannon.
• Added contextual tutorial pop-ups for the new inventory interface.
• Adding gold value to item descriptions.
• Loot containers no longer have the sparkle effect if there’s nothing left for you.

• You only need to press Shift once to open a loot pouch now.
• Tabs on the sea chest Skill Page no longer appear when another page is on.
• Selling charms, jewelry, and tattoos works now.
• Sailing skill recharge times adjust as you switch sea charms.
• Fixed crash when clicking on item descriptions from sinking ships.

• Cursed weapons now affect the user’s HP and Voodoo.

• Mojo Voodoo Doll healing skills actually heal now instead of dealing damage.
