Release Notes - February 4, 2011
  • Infamy Ranks and Badges can now be earned by defeating enemies in both Land PvP and Privateering
  • Badges can be worn by making selections in the Badge Menu ('B' key)
  • Infamy is lost over time (at a rate of 1 point per day) if a Pirate does not participate in Land PvP or Privateering
  • Newly spawned Pirates will now be briefly invincible in Land PvP
  • PvP Maps have been updated with new rock formations
  • Fast weapon reload glitch has been fixed
  • Land PvP spawn locations have been fixed
  • Enemy aggression level have been slightly increased
  • Added potion descriptions to Potion item cards
  • Most importantly - the dog has returned to Outcast Isle

  • Using 'Hurricane Slash' against a practice dummy in Port Royal will disconnect your Pirate

  • Fixed a crash when using an emote or command with "/"

  • Crews will swing over if the captain is unavailable during flagship battles

  • Strengthened masts and sails on Bounty Hunters and Warships.
  • Popup messages for sinking ships no longer block view or have a border around them.
  • Fixed a recurring crash with the "Scoundrel of the Seas" levels.

Release Notes - June 20, 2011
  • Pirates can dare to become a "Scoundrel of the Seas" now on the Test Servers. Set sail, plunder all you can from enemy ships and try to unlock all the Scoundrel levels.
  • Enemy ship difficulty will increase based on the amount of plunder in your ship's hull.
  • Added four Scoundrel levels of difficulty, each with its own jolly roger icon on the ship HUD (top-left while sailing).
  • Optimized frame rate for flagship boarding.

  • Ship Customization and Upgrades! (need we say more?)
  • Loot and plunder all new rare materials from Bounty Hunter and Warships in order to upgrade Medium Class and War Class ships' armor, speed, and cargo hold.
  • Visit any Shipwright to begin your Ship Customization and Upgrade path.
  • Upgrades will provide your ship abilities that can be customized to fit your style of play
  • Upgrade your cargo hull to maximize your plunder.
  • Battle at sea with the latest armor the shipwrights have to offer.
  • Streamline your vessel for speed with the latest sails and rigging.
  • Personalize Medium Class and War Class ships with brand new sail colors, patterns, and logos.
  • Face off against enemy fleets in the brand new Pirate ship type, the BRIG - also customizable!

Known Issues - October 7, 2011
  • Occasional crashes may occur when teleporting or walking through doors or tunnels. When reporting these bugs, please be very specific where you were and what you were doing at the time of the crash.
  • Pirates may teleport under land or be able to access out of game world environments near the shoreline. Please report any bugs you may encounter using the in-game feedback form and be very specific where you were and what you were doing at the time.
  • Occasionally ships will slide across the water. We will be fixing this as soon as possible.


Nice to see more ship options for free players.

  • Fixed a crash when playing PvP Mayhem with a crew of Pirates.
  • Fixed an issue where Pirates could get stuck on a black screen when attempting to teleport from a full Ocean (server) into activities such as PvP or the Black Pearl Quest.
  • Fixed an issue where Pirates could end up stuck on a black screen after leaving PvP and returning to a full Ocean.
  • Fixed a crash that sometimes occurred when battling enemy ships at sea.

Known Issues - January 5, 2012
  • Two coats available for male Pirates through the Tailors on Tortuga, Cuba, and Padres de Fuego are displaying in the catalog as "Error, no name". These coats may also turn up in loot dropped by defeated enemies.

  • Fixed a crash when sailing incognito as a Stowaway.
  • Fixed crashes when Pirates attempt to teleport to a ship that is either just launching or in the process of docking.
  • Made corrections to new material loot drops after sinking a Bounty Hunter or Warship. If another Pirate ship has already engaged and damaged the enemy ship, they will plunder the materials.
  • Fixed an issue with the current island name not displaying when Pirates first enter the Caribbean.
  • Fixed the current Ocean (server) name not displaying properly in Pirates' Maps.
  • Made navigational corrections to Treasure Fleets' sailing paths on the open seas.

Known Issues - December 19, 2011
  • Pirates who attempt teleporting to a docking ship may still end up stuck in a frozen state. You will need to force quit to get out of this incorrect state.

  • Oceans with Full status are sometimes appearing as Quiet.
  • On an Ocean with Full status, entering into activities such as the Black Pearl Quest or Parlor Games may result in getting stuck on a black screen.
  • Workaround: Please close the game window and re-login, and play on a Quiet Ocean to avoid this possible issue and interrupted gameplay.

  • Fixed issue with Pirates not able to teleport after being defeated aboard a Flagship and going to jail.
  • Fixed a bug where Pirates could not review or take their loot plundered at sea upon docking their ship.

  • Fixed client crash when using "Take It All" to take loot from ships.
  • Black Pearl Quest now begins properly when first boarding.
  • Fixed client crash when skipping over the Black Pearl treasure map at the beginning of the Quest.

  • Black Pearl Quest does not start properly.
  • Pirates get stuck after being defeated in PvP.
  • Pirates can swim under the map in certain island areas.
  • Pirates swinging back after a Flagship battle sometimes fall through their ship.

Release Notes - November 10, 2011
  • Fixed the appearance of teleport effects around Pirates.
  • Fixed issue with Pirates teleporting into the water or under island areas.
  • Pirates now land in the correct beach area when teleporting to Raven's Cove.
  • Corrected a teleportation issue by removing the auto-run function during teleport.

Please test the teleporting system by trying various teleporting scenarios and report your feedback.

  • Added a brand new upgradable ship type: the Copperhead.
  • Increased the amount of new materials plundered when sinking enemy ships.
